Project Joy
Happy Holidays! Project Joy is a string of music events designed to spread holiday joy while benefiting brain cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Our Story
For myself, Katie Ann, and my musical accomplice, MC ZiLL, this year has had its ups and downs. As husband and wife, we are blessed to share common musical goals with our aspiring music careers. Over the summer, our world came to a halt when we found out a beloved family member, ZiLL’s father Robert Grossi, has brain cancer. The type of brain tumor he has is called a glioblastoma. It’s a rare form of cancer that unfortunately has no cure so it can only be treated to help improve daily life. This news has been difficult to accept as it feels unbearable at times to know that we can’t “fix” this situation and are completely at the will of God’s mercy. We have realized that God has a plan and it has been put in our hearts to use our musical talents to help find a cure for brain cancer. We have decided to host a string of musical events, which we are calling “Project Joy,” to lift spirits and raise funds to support brain cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI). Our fundraiser, Project Joy, has been approved by RPCI and we are proud to say that we have officially joined Team Roswell!
Mission
To bring peace and unity to the community of Buffalo by celebrating the joy of the holidays, while raising funds to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute . In honor of Robert Grossi, all proceeds will go to help finding a cure for glioblastoma.
